The Dancing Bee Memorial Scholarship Fund is on a mission to provide young men with access to the medicine of nature, brotherhood, and transformational experiences. In partnership with The Rising Man Movement, our aim is to create opportunities for men growth, healing, and self discovery.
Your donations will give men access to this work, supporting their lives, their community, and generations to come.
This fund was created by initiated men who had life-changing experiences through Rising Man Programs. Designed to be regenerative, the fund will support the growing Rising Man Community as we bring men into healthier and more purposeful ways of life.
The Rising Man Movement is committed to supporting equal access to its programs, and increasing diversity, equity and inclusion across racial, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Scholarships are available to any man in need of financial support. BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ people are encouraged to apply.

REMEMBERING SILVIO
Silvio Jose Acevedo Planter, lovingly known as “Dancing Bee”, passed away unexpectedly on May 23rd, 2021. Only 2 months removed from his Rite of Passage journey across the threshold, Silvio made his transition into the next world, inspiring a grieving community to live larger and love more deeply. Before his passing, Silvio indicated a strong conviction – despite his own fears and doubts – to inspire others to assert their truth in this world and be a pillar for his family and extended community.
Within mere days and weeks of his death, the impact of his life was felt deeply by those closest to him, and rippled out like waves in the ocean to communities across the globe. Though we may never know the great mystery behind the arrival into and departure from this world for our loved ones, it is clear that Silvio’s work was just beginning when he passed.
In honor of his life and the legacy of his gifts, The Rising Man Movement elected to name our Scholarship Fund in his name, so that his work may continue from the other-worldly realms. Every time a man finds his way across the threshold in Compass or embraced by another man at a Rising Man Event, our family will rest assured knowing Silvio is smiling and that his vision is unfolding before our eyes. May the mysterious work of our brother, Dancing Bee, amplify for generations to come!
